A vegan diet has many advantages over conventional diets that include animals and animal products. Most importantly, a vegan diet reduces the number of animals suffering in factory farms. Vegan foods also require fewer resources, cause less pollution, and are responsible for fewer greenhouse gas emissions than animal-based foods. That’s why we advocate for political support for those who wish to eat animal-free, vegan food. Specifically, we are demanding that vegan options be made available in all public canteens with our ballot initiative in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, a district of Berlin with over 280,000 inhabitants.

Proposed Referendum

Are you in favor of calling on the District Office of Berlin Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg to introduce an additional daily vegan option in all public district canteens, if there is more than one menu available?
